About the project

Project name: Development of Training Network for Improving Education in Energy Saving

Project Scope: The project scope is to modernise academic programs in the topic of  energy efficiency, the project will contribute to education process in such aspects of this topics energy saving like enhancement of energy efficiency, use of renewable sources.

Specific objectives of the project:    

1. To develop/improve compatible curricula for partners` groups by directions (enhancement of energy efficiency; energy saving; energy effective materials; use of renewable sources);

2. To develop/improve compatible and complementary laboratories for partners` groups by directions;

3. To develop/improve lecture courses for partners` groups by directions;

4. To develop/improve compatible other teaching materials courses for partners` groups by directions;

5. To deliver/upgrade equipment for practice classes by directions;

6. To create Electronic Libraries of developed/modernized teaching materials.

Key Persons:

  • The scientific manager of the project: Prof., Dr. habil. sc. ing. Leonids Ribickis is a Rector of Riga Technical University (RTU), the Director of the Institute of Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering. He is a director of undergraduate, masters and PhD study programs “Computerized Control of Electrical Technologies”. Leonids Ribickis is an Academician of Latvian Academy Science, member of Latvian Council of Science, member of the Board of National Economy of LR Ministry of Economy.
  • The administrative manager of the project: Dr.sc.ing Anatolijs Zabasta is a researcher and a project manager of Riga Technical University, the Institute of Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering.
  • The project coordinator: Dr. sc. ing. Nadezda Kunicina is a senior researcher and associated professor of Riga Technical University, the Institute of Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering. Nadezda Kunicina is the main author of the idea of this project.
  • The project information specialist, a responsible person for the main project deliverables: Dr. sc. ing. Anastasija Ziravecka, is a senior researcher and associated professor of Riga Technical University, the Institute of Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering.
